Challenge Build 5 business units for Aviation, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Middle East & International Channel Partners

Solution: 
Recruit, restructure & build the commercial business units to include online strategic marketing, business development, sales and customer service.

9% growth in year 1 and 20% growth in year 2

Hired as the Interim Sales Director by the Founder of the business to totally rebuild the group sales operation and to target a 50% growth in revenues. Global sales responsibility across Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Transportation, Healthcare, Life Sciences & International Channel Partner sectors. Actively promoted the need for social media strategies & attended global events to help generate new leads. Executed a robust 3 month rolling forecast system which provided visibility & transparency to the group business, business units and individual sales managers. Increased the individual performance of the business units through coaching & developing self-belief which was never there before. Introduced new strategic commercial initiatives inc. 3-year finance deals & outsource delivery models. Instigated the need for strategic account planning to drive growth within existing accounts. Led the strategy to launch a new global channel partner identification program & delivering on the day to day channel business model. Inspired a strategic partnership with Sagem a French global avionics solutions provider to offer an innovative outsourcing service model called Cassiopée to include the Q-Pulse safety & risk management software solution and flight data monitoring; to international airlines & regulators. Accelerated the average deal size value across the business units by 21% through up selling. Led the development & strategic venturing of a new offices in Dubai, San Francisco & Boston to help drive international growth. Recruited & coached a new 20 strong marketing, business development, sales & customer services team (inc. 5 Global Business Unit Managers). Applied a thorough quarterly review process for each business unit to learn what worked well & what could work better; so that continuous improvements can be executed.  Put into place a business plan for each business unit to drive the direction & to measure performance. Implemented a structured sales & marketing process including qualification / call planning to facilitate the sales team & strategic partners in closing opportunities more efficiently.
